Hi, I am Nic Tjirkalli. It was 06h00 on October the 9th 1970 that Nic was born
into this world. I spent my childhood years in Gweru and Bulawayo in
Zimbabwe and my teen years in Pretoria, South Africa. I am now a resident
of Johannesburg, South Africa.
I am currently employed by
MTN Business South Africa, MTN's Internet Service Provider, one of
South Africa's leading Internet Service Provider.
Whilst sitting at my
desk
my work focus area is
the development and maintainence of the core backbone network.
Before
MTN Business South Africa, I was employed for a year and a half with IBM, South Africa in their Network division.
I graduated from the
University Of The Witwatersrand (Wits), in 1993 with a Masters
of Science (MSC) in Electrical Engineering. In 1991, I received my
Bachelor of Science (BSC) in Electrical Engineering, also from Wits.
For relaxation, I enjoy listening to music (rock, alternative and metal)
- recorded and preferably live, watching movies, reading Steven King's
books. I also love going out and about to different restaurants or pubs. I
prefer to visit new and different places. My idea of getting away from it all,
is being surrounded by thousands of excited people at a rock concert.
